Life on Tyvex
Among the inhabited worlds of the Ran Star System, Tyvex occupies a position of considerable biological distinction, possessing an extraordinary diversity of environments whose productivity has long attracted the attention of Imperial naturalists and xenobiologists.
Though commonly associated with its sprawling marshlands and amphibious inhabitants, the planet is far more varied than its popular reputation suggests.
The geography of Tyvex is dominated by three immense supercontinents, Vylanth, Cyolir, and Kruma, each possessing distinct geological histories, climatic conditions, and ecological characteristics. Rising from the planet’s broad, shallow seas, these great landmasses are separated by extensive marine corridors, their coastlines broken by river deltas, tidal wetlands, mangrove supercolonies, and innumerable smaller islands.
